鹿町温泉は、新しい温泉施設です。私が子供の頃、隣接する鹿町工業高校の古びた建物を冒険の場として探索していました。その頃、今の鹿町温泉の場所にはプールや武道場があり、周囲は炭鉱の歴史を感じさせるさびれた雰囲気が漂っていました.
Shikamachi Onsen is a relatively new hot spring facility. When I was a child, I used to explore the old building of the adjacent Shikamachi Technical High School. Back then, where Shikamachi Onsen stands now, there was a pool and a martial arts hall, and the surroundings had a nostalgic atmosphere, reminiscent of the coal mining history.
驚くべきことに、平成7年に鹿町工業高校の建替工事中に天然温泉が湧出しました。その発見が、何もなかった土地を素晴らしい温泉施設へと変えるきっかけとなりました。
Surprisingly, during the reconstruction of Shikamachi Technical High School in 1995, a natural hot spring was discovered. This discovery transformed an empty plot of land into a wonderful hot spring facility.

温泉の入浴料は、660円と他の施設と比べてもお得です。駐車場には地元の車が多く、地元民に愛される施設であることがわかります。温泉内では、地元の方言が飛び交い、私でさえも時々理解できないほどの深い方言が楽しめます。
The bathing fee for the hot spring is 660 yen, which is quite affordable compared to other facilities. Looking at the cars in the parking lot, it’s evident that it’s a facility loved by the locals. Inside the hot spring, you can hear deep local dialects flying around, some of which are so profound that even I sometimes can’t understand.
食事も多彩で、畳敷きの食堂で落ち着いた雰囲気の中、お手頃な価格で味わえます。そして、ごはんの大盛りは無料で提供されています。なかなか美味しい！
The meals are diverse, and you can enjoy them at a reasonable price in a calm atmosphere of a tatami-matted dining room. Plus, they offer a free large serving of rice. It’s quite delicious!
